We have a great love for the wolf. Mainly because they are beautiful animals and often misunderstood. Throughout history, the wolf has been used as a symbol of something bad or evil. Fables and folklore have contributed to its reputation as a lone, savage killer. Yet the wolf is not a bloodthirsty villian. It is a highly intelligent and social creature that lives in a close-knit family group, or pack. The members of a pack often help each other raise their young and hunt for food.
